The Story Behind Metric & Mortar
From running a pressure washing business to building digital systems that make the phone ring — here's how Metric & Mortar got started.
Our Story
I didn't begin my career writing code or designing layouts; I started out running my own pressure washing business. That is where I learned the only rule that actually matters for local services: it doesn't matter how good your work is if you don't have a reliable way to get customers. Without leads, you don't survive.
I built Metric & Mortar because I realized I could solve that exact problem for other business owners. My philosophy is simple: I don't build websites just to look pretty. I build digital assets designed to make your phone ring and outrank your local competitors.
Because the digital storefront is more than just a website, my approach includes deep optimization of your Google Business Profile—which is the actual first thing a customer sees when they search for your service—alongside modern AI-driven SEO.
I am currently based in Corvallis, OR, studying Supply Chain and Logistics at Oregon State University (Go Beavs). However, my roots are in Maui, Hawaii. I transitioned from physical service work to digital infrastructure so I could build a location-independent business that will eventually allow me to return home to the islands.
I know what it takes to run a local business, I know the stress of needing the phone to ring, and I know exactly how to build the systems that make it happen.
